Nottingham City Homes

Nottingham City Homes manages around 29,000 council homes across Nottingham. Their mission is to deliver excellent services and their vision is to create places where people want to live.


They provide council tenants with services including repairs, allocations and lettings, advice and guidance on rent and dealing with debt and tenant involvement as well as working hard to bring all of Nottingham's council houses up to the Government's Decent Homes standard by 2013 through their Secure Warm Modern programme.


Nottingham City Homes takes an uncompromising stance to tackle the causes of anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse and hate crime. They work closely with Community Protection to remove anti-social behaviour from their neighbourhoods so that their tenants can feel safe and secure in the areas that they live.




Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue

More than 1,150 men and women work for Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue (NFRS), serving Nottinghamshire.


A significant proportion of the fire service's work is designed to prevent people ever getting into difficulties. NFRS aims to advise people on how they can keep themselves safe, although the service is, of course, available 24-hours-a-day to help when the inevitable accidents do happen. Much of the service's work is now done in partnership with other agencies, achieving a united approach in order to help keep communities safer.




Victim Support

Victim Support provide free and confidential help to victims of crime, their family, friends and anyone else affected. The organisation gives information, emotional support and practical help. You don't have to report a crime to the police to get our help and can get support at any time, whenever the crime happened.


Victim Support also give support to witnesses of crime in every court in the county, offer specialised support to young witnesses of crime including home visiting, offer specialised support to coroners witnesses and offer support for victims in completing Criminal Injuries Compensation forms.

Nottingham City Transport

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) is the principal bus operator in Greater Nottingham, with over 300 buses providing a comprehensive network of services across the city, 7 days a week. NCT is also a partner with Transdev in the Nottingham Tram, which enjoys through ticketing and connecting bus services with the NCT network.


Community Protection works with NCT to tackle and prevent anti-social behaviour and damage to the buses.




Nottinghamshire Probation Area

Nottinghamshire Probation Area (NPA) is a law enforcement agency, which covers the whole of Nottinghamshire including the City of Nottingham.


NPA is one of 42 areas managed by the National Offender Management Service (NOMS), combining the National Probation Service and Prison Service. The National Offender Management Service (NOMS) bridges custody and community, with the task of achieving a significant reduction in re-offending rates through end-to-end offender management.
