Our Campaigns

Don't Cross the Line - use it don't abuse it

Our latest campaign was launched earlier this year to raise awareness of how a Blue Badge permit should be used.

A Blue Badge is to help a holder park close to their destination, either as a passenger or driver.  The badge is for the badge holder's benefit only.

The Community Protection team is working to reduce the misuse and abuse of the Blue Badge scheme.  It is a criminal offence for anyone to misuse the badge, and in doing so coud lead to a £1000 fine and confiscation of the badge.

Campaign to tackle illicit and counterfeit tobacco

Community Protection’s Trading Standards service has re-launched a campaign to tackle illicit and counterfeit tobacco sellers in Nottingham.

Trading Standards, working in partnership with Crimestoppers, re-launched their fake tobacco campaign in June 2012 to clamp down on those selling illegal products in Nottingham.
